Celebrating Indonesian Tree Planting Day: Celebica’s Commitment to Reforestation and Conservation

To celebrate Indonesian Tree Planting Day on November 28, 2025, Celebica participated in the “Tanam Pohon Serentak 2025” program initiated by the Forum Pohon Langka Indonesia. This remarkable program brought together a diverse group of 68 collaborators, each of whom was committed to environmental conservation. Together, they engaged in a coordinated effort to plant trees at 55 different sites across multiple regions, promoting reforestation and raising awareness about the importance of preserving Indonesia’s unique tree species.

Celebica, in collaboration with KHDTK Malili and Manggala Agni, planted endemic Sulawesi trees in the KHDTK Malili area of South Sulawesi. A total of twelve Cinnamomum subaveniopsis (Lauraceae) seedlings were planted, all of which came from the “Rumah Bibit Celbica.” These seedlings were developed through both seed propagation and vegetative methods, demonstrating Celebica’s commitment to ex-situ conservation programs for rare and endangered tree species.

Cinnamomum subaveniopsis is a Sulawesi endemic species, currently classified as endangered by the IUCN Red List due to deforestation and habitat destruction. This activity highlights the importance of preserving biodiversity while supporting the national reforestation movement.
